The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal launches its program for the 2002-2003 season

Montreal, September 12, 2002 - The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal has announced its list of guest speakers for the 2002-2003 season. They will address members of the Board of Trade and the Montreal urban agglomeration's business community. The Board of Trade's primary objective is to promote the economic development of the metropolitan area and the establishment of optimal conditions for creating new wealth and realizing the full potential of the companies and initiatives of its members.

"Desjardins" business luncheons, in association with Air Canada, Bell Canada, Bombardier Inc., Diners Club International, Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP, Ministère d'État à l'Éducation et à l'Emploi du Québec, Pfizer Canada, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Samson Bélair / Deloitte & Touche and
SSQ Financial Group.

This prestigious Board of Trade forum has built an excellent reputation over the past several years. This season, speakers will share with participants their vision of the economic development that metropolitan Montreal, the economic engine of Quebec, will experience in the coming years. Activities of the Businesswomen in Action committee, in association with Bell Canada, Ernst & Young, Hydro-Québec and Scotia Bank.

The Businesswomen in Action committee is made up of members of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal in all sectors of economic activity. Its mission is to promote the advancement of women in the business community. Although the committee is composed only of women, its activities are open to all Board of Trade members. In line with its mission, the committee offers a variety of activities focused on professional development, information sharing, networking, and the discussion of timely issues.
