In 2015, CDPQ Infra was created, offering an innovative model for carrying out major modern and efficient public infrastructure projects. In less than six years, two major public transit projects for the Greater Montréal area, totalling 99 km of light rail transit, have emerged: the Réseau express métropolitain is in the construction phase and is being rapidly deployed throughout the metropolitan area, while the REM de l’Est is in the detailed planning phase, and being improved through studies and consultations.
The purpose of the talk will be to take stock of what has been achieved and what remains to be built.
