Summary of the activity

On December 6, 2019, to take part in a roundtable on the Japanese market and learn about its different facets, such as its business culture, legal and fiscal framework, and potential business sectors.

David Bostwick, Counsellor and Senior Trade Commissioner at the Embassy of Canada to Japan, will provide a presentation and an update on the current status of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).

The CPTPP entered into force in Canada and in Japan on December 30, 2018. The CPTPP is a free trade agreement between 11 countries representing almost 500 million people and a combined GDP of $13.5 trillion.

Japan is the world’s third largest economy and offers an exceptional business climate.

This activity is a unique opportunity to
