About the Turkish delegation visit

Turkey is one of Europe’s strongest economic power. Its strategic geographical location straddling two continents can provide access to markets in Europe and Asia through partnerships with Turkish companies that have already entered them.

On November 28, meet a Turkish business delegation of businesspeople and industry representatives. Spend the day attending presentations and networking to learn about Turkey’s current situation and get information on the country’s business culture, legal and fiscal framework and potential business sectors.

Preliminary program

In order to promote exchanges, a meeting opportunity will be organized between Quebec companies and businesspeople from Turkey.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Key facts on Turkey and Canada

Turkey is the sixth-largest user of the Port of Montreal. Two-way merchandise trade between Canada and Turkey totals over CAD 3 billion, making Turkey Canada’s 24th-largest trading partner. In 2018, Canadian exports to Turkey amounted to CAD 1.327 million.

In June 2019, Canada and Turkey signed a memorandum of understanding to increase investment opportunities between the two nations. As part of this partnership, the committee will hold its first meeting in Istanbul in November 2019.
